Generally less than $9.  That&#8217;s where the initial cost comes in.  So why do they charge shipping and offer the supplement free?  Well, a lot of people will not try something if they are not sure if it will work, but if they don&#8217;t have a lot to lose, they&#8217;d give it a try. The manufacturers know this, which is why they give you the first bottle free.  They ask for a card number to pay the shipping because they are confident about their products and they would like you to continue as a customer, so the fine print is that they will charge your creditcard again after x number of days and send you a new bottle.  If you do not want to get charged because the product did not work for you, and it may not work because everybody is unique,everyone is unique, than just phone the toll free phone number to cancel.  It&#8217;s as straightforward as that.  And you won&#8217;t be billed again.  I have done this time after time without bother and I pay close attention to my creditcard bills and have seen no shady business going on. </p>
<p> You see, offering something for no cost up front, asking for a Visa to pay shipping, and rebilling monthly is a winning business design.  It works, that&#8217;s the reason why these companies do it.  They know what works and they want to earn cash.  I doubt that any of them are looking to sting anyone or they would not be in business for any length of time. Most of the trial takers enjoy the product and see results so the company knows they&#8217;ll recover the expenses of offering something free.  Plus I am sure they receive a decent profit markup so it doesn&#8217;t take them too long. </p>
